Product Designer

DesignRemote / Boston, MAFull-time

About the role

DAERO is building tools for complex, real-world work. We’re looking for a Product Designer who can turn ambiguity into clarity and ship thoughtful, intuitive experiences with strong visual craft. Design here isn’t just how something looks—it’s how it works, how it feels, and how it scales. You’ll partner closely with engineering and product to move fast, make smart tradeoffs, and raise quality.

What you'll do:

  • Shape product direction by framing problems, exploring solutions, and helping teams make decisions.
  • Design and iterate on flows, interaction patterns, and high-fidelity UI for web and mobile.
  • Prototype to validate ideas and clarify behavior (from quick explorations to polished demos).
  • Partner with engineers through build, QA, and launch to ensure quality and fidelity in what ships.
  • Build and evolve a scalable design system (components, patterns, tokens) with accessibility and consistency in mind.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience designing UX and UI for software products with meaningful complexity.
  • A portfolio that shows end-to-end thinking: problem framing, iteration, rationale, and shipped outcomes.
  • Strong visual craft and attention to detail (composition, typography, layout, responsive behavior).
  • Fluency in interaction design and prototyping in Figma (components/variants, Auto Layout, modern workflows).
  • Comfort collaborating closely with engineering—communicating intent, working through constraints, and polishing the final build.
  • Ability to guide decision-making with structured thinking and user-centered reasoning (research partnership a plus).

Added plus if you also have:

  • Motion/interaction craft (After Effects, Rive, Lottie, Principle, etc.) and/or brand/marketing design experience.
